At Med Cosmetics Clinic we use a unique professional rejuvenating exfoliative treatment combining 4 AHAs (Glycolic, Lactic, Malic and Tartaric) plus 2 BHAs (Salicylic and Citric). By using this combination of acids, optimal results are achieved with more even exfoliation and less irritation. These peels are naturally derived ingredients combined with acidic compounds to deliver a deep exfoliation. Removal of the top layer of skin with active ingredients will improvement of the appearance of blackheads and whiteheads, fine lines, scarring, uneven skin tone, and dull texture.
The skin is thoroughly cleansed right before the peel, to avoid any chance in infection. The chemical being used is then applied to the treatment area with a brush. The chemical is allowed to sit on the skin from several minutes up to 10 minutes depending the client’s needs and indications. Then water is used to neutralize the acid and finish the chemical reaction. A soothing collagen mask is applied followed by a moisturizer and SPF to finish.
It is always recommended to attend series of treatments with increasing intensity, time duration left on skin and time between treatments for optimal results.
